Hello Friends,
We like to share with you what a unique and wonderful experience visiting our Apothecary can be.
From the moment you enter our door you will notice the aromas in the air and how they will begin to relax you. (The herbs and aromas bring us closer to our inner child.)
To start, we will invite you to try a drink:
- a dandelion root and cocoa-based coffee substitute,
- an herbal tea of your choice,
- or one of our favorite blends, made to benefit health in specific ways (to reduce pain, to increase energy, to detoxify the liver, to improve digestion, breathing, etc.).
Another option for these hot days, which we have available to share and try, is a very tasty refreshing water made with saffron. (Saffron is known in some healing traditions to help regenerate the macula of the eyes.)
I am always excited to share with people my discoveries of the amazing aromas that emanate from high quality herbs and spices, especially some that were previously unknown to me. One of my favorites (for me almost fantastic) is the aroma of ashwaghandha root: "It feels like relaxation in a jar" said a friend. (So we put some in a jar, and called it the Relaxation Jar, to enjoy anytime we start to feel serious!).
Another root I love to share is sarsaparilla -particularly the one from India. Sarzaparilla is a blood purifying root. I heard stories from our friends saying that it used to be a flavor of juices and ice cream in stores.
By the way, for those who like to be on the cutting edge with health prevention methods, we have 10 jars of Umeboshi plums, a blood alkalizing in Japanese medicine. These umeboshi plums are of very high quality and come from a local producer. We also have humeboshi vinegar droppers. The Umeboshi is also known to help fight bacterias, parasites and infections, by helping balance the pH enviroment of the body.
